I have just spent the last week sick and in bed in agony with the flu. My mouth, lips, tongue, and throat were covered in sores. I lost five pounds which I can’t afford to loose. It had to be my worst week ever. I should have gotten my free flu shot when I had the chance. Please make sure that you have learned from my mistake and get your flu shot this year.
With that said I had nothing to do but to watch tv, and there is nothing worse than to be in pain and to not have anything good to watch. Thank God for movies, or I don’t think that I would have made it. I completely understand why the writers are on strike and I agree with it, but this is really getting old, and it is hurting my evenings. Each night I come home from work and look to see what is on only to be disappointed. I just have to make it to Jan 31 for LOST.
It is really depressing the role television plays in my life.

My youth pastor passed away two days ago. He was the person that helped me to see what following Christ really looks like. He was the most selfless person that I have ever met. I don’t remember a single lesson that he gave, but I do remember all the things that he did for me, and for everyone in the youth ministry. He was always there and he truly cared for every student.
He lived what he taught, and his life was his message. I can only hope to be the man that he was and the follower of Christ that he was. His name was Darrell Johnson.

I had the chance to attend my first Duke basketball game inside of Cameron Indoor Stadium. It was the most amazing thing that I have ever done. It was worth the six hours driving each way and getting only 3 hours of sleep in 24 hours.
Go Duke!
